Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Had a delicious lunch at 亚燕 (Ya Yen) in Suria Sabah Mall. We tried the Signature Fried Pork with Sandakan Noodles, Salt & Pepper Fried Chicken Rice, and Fresh Prawn Dumpling Noodles. We also ordered a side serving of the fried pork. The pork wasn’t very crispy, but it was flavourful and tender. The chicken was crispy but slightly bland. The noodles were springy (especially the Sandakan noodles) and well done, and the dumplings were fresh and juicy. The Teh C Ping was smooth, aromatic, and not too sweet. Only downside was the cramped seating; the tables were packed quite closely together, making it a bit challenging to move in and out comfortably. Overall, a satisfying and affordable meal in a convenient location. Worth a visit if you're in the area!"
"This is a must have when you are in KK city. We tried most items on the menu on few occasions and they were all very delicious! Love the old school setting as well which was the main attraction but the food rocks!"
"We've eaten here a few times this week. Delicious every time. There may be better around but this place is still outstanding. Especially enamoured by the Fried Pork Laksa with the Sandalan noodles option. But all other dishes we've tried were worth a repeat too! Also photographed is the Bento Fried Pork Rice. The eggplant was so nice, nice heat and beautiful flavour to compliment the pork and rice."
"We had a great porky lunch here. Though the restaurant has limited seats. Yet their service were fast during peak hour. All dishes were good. Chinese dumpling skin was a little too thick for my liking."
"The food overall taste good , if the pork slice was thicker bit more nicer Staff friendly and serving was quite fast"
"The food is good. Fried poek sandwich is surprisingly good , highly recommend. Century egg pork dumplings is average but good to try once. Fried pork noodles with laksa soup is also good to try."
"Tasty and affordable dishes including a variety of pork dishes and some vegetable options. Located on the 3rd floor of the shopping mall Frequented by locals and Chinese tourists"
"Really good food must order the signature fried pork soup noodles taste soo good along with the century egg dumplings and fried pork. The laksa for me is just okay not enough richness in the soup. The rest is amazing! Staff is very friendly too :D"
